Congratulations, you've made it this far!
This is the part where I explain how to tie a slipknot. There are probably better explanations out there on the internets, so if this isn't enough, then find something that will work for you.
Start
with the two ends of your line parallel.
Take the end and cross it over...
Then
back under...
Then
overlap your end over where you started...
Under
and through the loop...
Tighten like so...

Take your lighter and set the very end on fire... oh yeah, BE CAREFUL!!!

Extinguish the flame with your lighter or something flat and not combustible...

You should end up with a fat flat end, that can not work its way undone.

As you swing the knot will tighten and the sack will tighten if you have given your knot enough to grab on to. If not, the bag will tear, and your fun is over!
Remember: SLOW IS SMOOTH AND SMOOTH IS FAST
While you swing (notice that word swing. not spin or twirl), always try to make yourself go as slow as possible, if you think you're swinging as slowly as you can, slow down more. The first 1000 repetitions are the most important. Rope dart isn't poi, and even though you may see those folks at tourneys going a million miles a min. I guarantee you theirs is for "show" or competition. You want your technique to be effective, then study your swing slowly. You should not be concerned with being fast, only quick. speed and coordination will come with time and practice. Just keep it slow, the weight on the end of the line can easily get away from you if you are not careful. When you upgrade your practice to deadly objects, the fundamentals will be of penultimate importance!
Swing Safe
